Kirkintilloch just off the main street. The building
sits between Smiths Hotel and the Turrett Medical Centre. Access is from the
New Lairdsland (bypass) Road and we are on the first floor.
BY CAR
From Glasgow
From M8 East take M80 Stirling
Junction 3 signposted ‘Kirkintilloch B757’.
Go straight on into Lenzie and through traffic lights in Lenzie and straight on at traffic lights as you come
in to Kirkintilloch.
At next set of traffic lights (Citizen’s Advice Bureau on right), go straight on to roundabout and turn
left.
At next set of lights turn right into car park. The Volunteer Centre
is right across the road.
From Milngavie, Bearsden, Balmore, Lennoxtown & Torrance
At Allander Toll roundabout (Dobbies), take road to Kirkintilloch. From Bearsden this is straight on, from Milngavie
(Auchenhowie Road) it is left.
At Torrance first roundabout turn right and
at top roundabout turn left. Go past ‘The Stables’ Restaurant and
in to Kirkintilloch.
At mini roundabout keep left
and at next set of lights turn right (signposted Cumbernauld). Go straight
on at next set of lights and you will see SMITHS Hotel on your right.
At next set of traffic lights turn left into car park. The Volunteer
Centre is right across the road.
BY BUS
From Glasgow bus no.s
88, 175, 184.
The buses come from different directions, but ask to get off in the Town Centre near Catherine Street (traffic lights on Main
Street). Looking down Catherine Street from the Main Street
the Volunteer Centre is on your left next to the Catherine Street
car park.
From Milngavie & Bearsden
The no. 47 (Hendersons Travel) leaves from Milngavie station at ten minutes to the hour on an hourly
basis. It then goes to Bearsden (Hillfoot station), up Boclair Road and on to Torrance,
stopping along the way. The bus goes up through Torrance and back down into Kirkintilloch and on along the Main Street. Get off at the Cowgate stop
and go down Catherine Street on your left at traffic
lights. Looking down Catherine Street

left next to the Catherine Street car park. The front door is round on the New Lairdsland Road.
BY TRAIN
The nearest station is in Lenzie. Regular trains run from Queen Street. The Volunteer Centre is about 30minutes walk. Come out of station and turn left to Kirkintilloch. At 2nd set of traffic
lights (Citizen’s Advice Bureau on right), turn left along Main Street. Go on until you see traffic lights with Catherine
Street on your right. . Looking down Catherine Street from the Main Street
the Volunteer Centre is on your left next to the Catherine Street
car park. The front door is round on the New Lairdsland Road.
Alternatively there is a taxi rank at the station.
